piggie a film by alison bagnall

About the paintngs on the website: Marion Peck and I have been friends since we both lived in Rome for a period in the early 90's and I have a bunch of her paintings in my house. I've stared at them so much over the years and in many direct and indirect ways they were the inspiration for much of the imagery and mood and even the scenes themselves in the movie. They influenced a lot of the creative decisions as well (eg. we're about to shoot the suicide scene at the bridge.. Savannah asks, "so, Alison, does she have her clothes on or off in this scene?" ..Hmm. the girl is naked in the dark water in Marion's pond painting. Answer: "off".)
